Collection of Sensitive Personal Information

The Timeless Moments Gallery is designed to share the positive experiences of living with osteoporosis with others. This section of our website encourages mothers and their daughters to treasure the special moments they enjoy together and share these with other women through this website.

Your submission of a Timeless Moments entry is completely voluntary and is not necessary if you only want to access the site and browse the information. However, if you choose to submit a story and photo to Novartis, certain personal information including your first name, country, photograph, and any medical information revealed in your story will be publicly available on this site and accessed by individuals in any country throughout the world.

Further, Novartis also needs to collect the following additional personal information: your full name, e-mail address, mailing address and phone number. This information will allows us to contact you regarding your submission and to ask any clarifying questions. If you agree, your email address may also be used to notify you of any updates to the website. Please note that you must opt-in to this service.

This additional personal information will be held by Novartis and their authorized agents but will not be published on the website. If your photo contains personal information of another person, you must obtain the consent of that person before submitting your photo to Novartis.

Disclosures and onward transfers

Novartis has contracted with third party web hosting firms and creative agencies to administer this site. Your personal information, including any sensitive medical information that you disclose, will be processed and available to those third parties as well as employees of Novartis and the Novartis Group of companies. These individuals are located in countries that may not offer the same level of privacy protection as your country of origin. However, Novartis has taken steps to provide adequate and appropriate security for the data that you submit and held within Novartis, its affiliates or their authorized agents. Should your photo be chosen to be published on this website, all personal information that you have disclosed in the photo will be publicly available. Novartis and our agents will not maintain data that is excessive or not relevant to the uses described in this notice, and your personal data will be maintained on this website for a maximum of 5 years unless you choose to allow further publication of your personal information.
